Although Waes claims he has not flown with Ryanair for years, he was unintentionally on board one of the company’s aircraft. “It was a group trip and I saw too late that it was a Ryanair flight,” he explains.
His adventure took an unpleasant turn when the flight from Gerona to Eindhoven was delayed by two hours. “After waiting on the plane for two hours, we were all asked to leave the plane,” Waes writes.
However, this delay did not stop there. “We then had to wait in a cage for four hours,” the TV presenter describes. Instead of their planned destination, the passengers were taken to Cologne. From there they were transported by bus, which took more than two hours. In total they were on the road for 12 hours. Ryanair has not yet responded to Waes’ criticism.
