Tom Tailor updates mobile app

The Hamburg-based clothing retailer Tom Tailor GmbH has launched a new app for consumers to boost its m-commerce. Tom Tailor customers in Germany can now download the app for iOS and Android; it will soon be launched in other markets as well.

Omnichannel cloud platform NewStore was tasked with the update, which aims to improve the mobile shopping experience, increase customer loyalty and increase sales.

Through an interactive and intuitive user interface, the app enables a magazine-like shopping experience through which the brand offers its entire range of clothing and accessories for men, women and children, as well as a home collection of lingerie, bath, textile and cushion products.

Mobile shopping is more popular than ever

“Mobile sales are a key enabler for Tom Tailor, but to really leverage this channel we had to update our consumer app. We chose NewStore because it’s simply better than anything we’ve seen before. The new app puts the experience of a flagship store in the hands of our customers,” explains Hendrik Reuter, Director of eCommerce and Consumer Engagement at Tom Tailor, in a statement.

Technically, the new NewStore app integrates seamlessly with Tom Tailor’s e-commerce platform and can thus be kept up to date and provide accurate product and stock information in real time. It also offers a full-featured mobile commerce platform that includes dynamic product lookbooks, improved product search, and easy category and product navigation. There are also integrated shopping cart rules, filter attributes, dynamic stock levels, push notification functions and more.

“Consumers are more mobile than ever, so brands like Tom Tailor need to think beyond traditional e-commerce and brick-and-mortar retail. By developing a native app that complements Tom Tailor’s digital and physical channels, NewStore has given the brand a new, powerful way to engage with their most loyal customers,” summarizes NewStore Founder and CEO Stephan Schambach.
