The SGP announced the draft candidate list for the House of Representatives elections today. A place has been reserved for Tom Koekoek from Stuifzand, who is in 22nd place. This makes him the only Drenthe of all 44 candidates of the Reformed party.
Koekoek was the party’s party leader during the Provincial Council elections last year, at 20 years old he was the youngest party leader. He lives with his parents in Stuifzand and studies Entrepreneurship and Retail Management in Zwolle.
Koekoek is not the only new face on the list. Due to the upcoming departure of Kees van der Staaij and Roelof Bisschop, there will be a relatively large amount of innovation at the top of the SGP list. Of the 44 names in total, seventeen are newcomers, including list leader Chris Stoffer.
