Tom Ford brings in new people responsible for brand image and communications

The luxury brand Tom Ford, which belongs to the US cosmetics group The Estée Lauder Companies Inc., wants to strengthen its external image with two new managers. On Monday, the company announced the appointments of Rebecca Mason as senior vice president, global brand image, and Paolo Cigognini as vice president, global communications and media.

The two newcomers took up their positions on August 28th and now reported directly to Guillaume Jesel, who has led Tom Ford as President and CEO since the takeover by Estée Lauder in the spring, according to a statement. In the future, they will “work closely together to ensure that the brand image and communication of the luxury label in the areas of fashion, cosmetics and eyewear are uniform and coherent,” the company said.

Before joining Tom Ford, Rebecca Mason worked for media group Condé Nast for more than 15 years. Most recently, she held the position of Vice President of Global Creative at the advertising division Condé Nast Commercial Creative.

According to his new employer, Paolo Cigognini has more than 20 years of experience in the marketing and communications departments of well-known international luxury brands. After career positions at Bottega Veneta, Dolce & Gabbana and Bulgari, he most recently served as Chief Marketing Officer of the fashion house Alexander McQueen.
