Top Gun: Maverick was the highest-grossing film of the past year. This should not least be due to Tom Cruise and his daring stunts, which the now 60-year-old traditionally performs himself.
The “Maverick” actor certainly doesn’t do it (just) because he enjoys it. The payment also plays a part fourth richest actor in the world a role. So far, there has only been speculation about the exact amount of money that Cruise earned with the long-awaited sequel to the cult film “Top Gun”. Now, on April 17th, a report was published “Deadline”which describes an “old-fashioned movie star deal” — “one of the best in history,” wrote Deadline.
“While some say it’s well over $100 million, others say it’s double his best earnings on ‘Mission Impossible,’ which would put him at $200 million,” the report continues.
Tom Cruise’s next film will be the seventh installment in the Mission: Impossible action series, titled Dead Reckoning Part One, which is due out on June 14, 2023. A release date for part eight of the series is already known: “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two” is scheduled for release on June 28, 2024.
