New Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One – a video was released from behind the scenes of the movie, in which Tom Cruise defies his life once again for a dangerous stunt.

– There are no limits when shooting stunts with Tom, so we become more adventurous time after time, director Christopher McQuarrie says.

In the film, Cruise, who returns to the role of Ethan Hunt, is seen doing a stunt where he tries a dangerous and rare sport: speedflying.

The instructor says that although speedflying looks like skydiving, it’s not. According to McQuarrie, while skydiving is relatively predictable, speedflying is anything but.

Speedflying takes place very close to the ground. Unfavorable wind direction may throw the jumper in an unpredictable place.

In order for the stunt not to be too “easy”, the actor naturally makes twists and turns on the way. Cruise, who has practiced this sport for years, says in the video that the shadow travels at a speed of about 80 kilometers per hour.

The shadow moves so quickly and unpredictably that a helicopter or drone cannot keep up with the actor filming the stunt, so a new solution had to be found for that as well.

– Flying close to the rock looks beautiful, but on the other side of the camera we were terrified, says McQuarrie.
