Massimov Karim Kazhimkanovich was relieved of the post of Chairman of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The president appointed Saken Isabekov as the head of the state security service, and Berik Kunanbaev was appointed deputy chairman of the KNB – director of the Special Purpose Service.
Tokayev appealed to the people and assured that he would do everything possible to protect the interests of the people of Kazakhstan. And he assured that together we will be able to win. According to Tokayev, terrorist gangs are seizing infrastructure facilities. Almaty became a victim of vandals. An anti-terrorist special operation has been launched in the city. The airport was freed, Internet access was restored. The current situation is undermining the integrity of the state and attacking its citizens. He has already turned for help to the heads of the CSTO with a request for help in overcoming the terrorist threat. After Tokayev’s call, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan began consultations with the heads of the CSTO countries.
In the meantime, the head of Roscosmos Dmitry Rogozin said that the protection of key facilities at the Baikonur cosmodrome has been strengthened, the branches of Roscosmos enterprises are operating normally.
