Toddler (4) is locked up all day in school bus in Alveringem

The facts date back to October 10. The parents suspect that Nina has fallen asleep, otherwise the attendant would always have noticed her. When the bus driver got back on the bus seven hours later, he found Nina. At school they assumed that Nina was sick. During that period, two other students were also absent due to illness.

Mayor Gerard Liefooghe (Municipal Interests CD&V) takes the incident very seriously. “We haven’t had any problems with school transport for 50 years. I’m really touched, but I’m glad that everything is okay with Nina. We are all very shocked.”
