Last fall Ismo bought a detached house with their wife from the sea. Now he is lying in the hospital without his limbs.
A rare bacterium caused Ismo a serious blood poisoning.
– Very rare. It was not even known that there was any such thing, Ismo, 58, says about his illness on Sunday on television on Sunday Alive 24h in the final period of the season.
Ismo’s bacterial bearing animals such as dogs. Nobody knows how the bacterium got into Ismo’s bloodstream.
– No dog bitten me, neither my own nor guests. I don’t know if I have had any wounds and the dog licking, Ismo wonders.
The bacterium caused Ismo a disturbance of peripheral blood circulation. As a result, Ismo’s hands, feet and nose developed necrosis.
– Terrible vibration and frost. The whole skin went to the water, Ismo says of his symptoms.
Initially, Ismo was treated with plenty of antibiotics. Doctors were waiting for several weeks to discourage the bacterium.
In the end, it happened. However, the bacterium had had a lot of destruction and the necrosis would go a long way.
– The bad withers went, Ismo is content with saying.
Ismo is delighted that the limbs, albeit shorter than before, move. That’s the main thing, he says. For example, with various tunes, Ismo allows you to eat herself. Soon, Ismo is planning prostheses in his hands and feet to get his ability to function back.
Ismo himself expects to get from the hospital back to his seaside home with his wife and dog.
– That would be cool, he thinks.
