NEl 2024 have been reported in Brussels 4,137 dangerous products through the European Safety Gate rapid alert system. This is the highest number ever recorded by the system launch in 2003. The most involved categories were cosmetics (36%of notifications), toys (15%), appliances (10%) and motor vehicles (9%). This is what emerges from reports 2024 of the EU Commission. Italy is the country with the largest number of reports: 1,089 notifications, increasing compared to 825 of 2023. 40% of all dangerous products reported comes from China.
