Tobey Maguire’s ‘Spider-Man’ confession

Tobey Maguire, who plays Spider Man, one of the iconic characters of the Marvel universe, admitted that that famous scene in the first Spider Man movie was not at all romantic for him and he almost suffocated.

One of the first names that come to mind when Spider Man is mentioned is undoubtedly Tobey Maguire. Delighting his fans by reviving the iconic character in the last Marvel movie ‘Spider Man: No Homecoming’, the actor confessed to the kissing scene in the first Spider-Man movie, which was released in 2002.

The famous 46-year-old actress shared that the scene where she kissed while hanging upside down with Kirsten Dunst, who plays Mary Jane, was very difficult because of the rain.

“I CAN’T BREATHE”

“The rain was coming in from my nose… then Kirsten put the mask on my nose and my air duct was blocked, so I couldn’t breathe,” said the 46-year-old actress, adding that perhaps the most romantic scene of the series was actually not very romantic behind the camera.

Dunst admitted that she stopped breathing completely when he started kissing her. “It was quite difficult. I was out of breath when they said ‘Cut it out’. It was almost torture. That’s when I realized how important oxygen is,” said Maguire.

The actor appeared in the movie ‘Spider Man: No Homecoming’, in which Tom Holland played Spider Man, after 14 years. He was accompanied by Andrew Garfield from the Amazing Spider Man series. The movie became one of Marvel’s most watched movies.
