Tobacco shop popular now that supermarkets stop selling cigarettes: ‘Smoking never stops’

Small tobacconists and convenience stores are seeing a significant increase in turnover now that large supermarket chains are slowly but surely stopping the sale of cigarettes. It is already busier in the shops because Albert Heijn has pulled the plug on tobacco sales in its own stores as of January 1, most other supermarkets will follow next summer.
