Another milestone has been added to the transfer market statistics. All Andorra national team matches since the association was founded in 1996 are now available in our database. The first official international match in the history of the Pyrenean state took place in the same year on November 13 and was lost 6-1 to Estonia. However, this result is not the highest defeat of the Andorran national team, but the 1:8 on June 4, 2005 in the World Cup qualifier in the Czech Republic. The clearest victory, on the other hand, was only a few months ago. On October 12 last year, the team celebrated a 3-0 win in San Marino in the World Cup qualifier.
The player with the most appearances and goals for the mini-state, which has never qualified for a European Championship or a World Cup, is Ildefons Lima.
The 42-year-old centre-back, who is still active and has a contract with the current champions in his home country, has made 133 appearances in which he has scored 11 goals. Lima made his international debut at the age of 17 in 1997 and has been part of the team for 25 years.
