TK Maxx is expanding its branch network in Germany and opening new locations.
The off-price retailer plans to open the doors of four stores in Berlin-Pankow, Remscheid, Coburg and Bayreuth in the spring. This was confirmed by TK Maxx Germany at the request of FashionUnited. Further details about the respective locations were not announced.
The industry magazine Fashionnetwork had previously reported that stores in Papenburg, Bamberg and Ansbach should open their doors this year in addition to Coburg. The company has not yet responded to a further inquiry about these locations.
The US trading group TJX Companies Inc. has been active in Europe since 1994 in Great Britain and Ireland with the retailer TK Maxx. The expansion to Germany followed in 2007. Other markets are Austria, the Netherlands and Poland.
