Berlin (AP) – Olympic figure skating champion Nathan Chen from the USA has to forego his participation in the upcoming world championships in Montpellier.
The 22-year-old cited an ongoing injury as the reason, which he didn’t want to aggravate through further training. Chen expressed great disappointment at missing out on his fourth consecutive world title. He has been undefeated at World Championships since 2018. Chen also won Olympic gold for the first time in Beijing.
