Venice Film Festival 2023: 10 of the most anticipated films

The rivalry between Umberto Nobile and Roald Amundsen from the dog’s point of viewa clumsy fox terrier, adopted by the Italian engineer who, at the request of the Norwegian explorer, built a gigantic airship destined for the North Pole.

Amundsen, who had already planted the flag of his country at the antipodes, hastened to take possession of the record. The blind and at times suicidal ambition of the two men is confronted with the naive attitude of the animal.

Naess introduces the adventure, which ended with the Nobile’s disastrous second expedition supported by the fascist regime (which then abandoned the scientist on the ice floe), precious period footage.
