FOOTBALL – With a lot of noise and especially with a lot of color and smoke, due to Bengali fireworks, the players of vv Schoonebeek and Titan were going to enter the field at De Gruinte sports park in Nieuw Schoonebeek, but it didn’t come to that. A loud bang, during the warm-up of both teams, caused a minor disappointment among the almost six hundred spectators.
A 25-year-old Titan supporter was seriously injured when fireworks exploded in his hand. He was taken to the UMCG where he was operated on at the beginning of the evening.
