In the first stage of the race of the two seas, the Spaniard from UAE Emirates, born in 2001, finishes ahead of the blue from Ineos. Milan fourth, Tiberi seventh, Vingegaard ninth
What a surprise in the opening time trial of the 59th Tirreno-Adriatico, organized by RCS Sport. The Spaniard Juan Ayuso, 21 years old, a talent from Pogacar’s UAE Emirates, beats Pippo Ganna by 1″ at an average speed of 52.554 km/h. At the first intermediate in Viareggio, after 5 km, the Italian time trial champion was two seconds behind Ayuso’s best time (5’53”): in the return stretch he only gained one. Compared to Ganna, Ayuso set off two hours before the Olympian to take advantage of the better weather conditions.
