It is perhaps the most beautiful and smallest village in the north of North Holland: Haringhuizen. With only a church and a community center there is not much, but that is just enough for the 140 residents. This year, the tiny village with city rights has been around for 900 years, which is reason enough for the inhabitants to put up an exhibition in the church.
The village of Haringhuizen may not be big, but there are plenty of stories to tell about its history. Village historian and resident Adriaan Rodenburg talks endlessly. Together with other residents, he transformed the church into an exhibition space for the 900th anniversary of the village.
