Tino Martin is scolded by the men of Today Inside after his flop concert in Ahoy. According to the gentlemen, it is clear what is going on: “He simply has an alcohol problem.”

It’s no longer a secret since Tino Martin admitted it in his docusoap: he has a hard time controlling alcohol. The singer was on the Ahoy stage on Friday evening and was apparently completely exhausted again. Visitors have paid deep pockets for a ticket and now feel incredibly cheated.

Drinking Tino

Tino is now definitively known as the male Bonnie St. Claire and that of course has consequences for his future ticket sales. There is now quite a bit of ridicule about it. “Would that Tino Martin have a drink before he goes on stage or not?” Wilfred Genee wondered last night in Today Inside.

Colleague René van der Gijp laughs: “Yes, you can also drink until you can, but Tino goes just over the edge, doesn’t he?”

Wilfred: “Yes, Tino had drunk a little too much. He was standing in Ahoy and he shouted: ‘Ziggo Dome, are we still looking forward to it?’”

Alcohol problem

It is unprecedented, René thinks. “Yes, that’s not good.”

Wilfred also thinks that things cannot continue like this. “That’s quite painful, isn’t it?”

Johan Derksen thinks it is time for Tino to be admitted somewhere, because it is now starting to get in the way of his career. “He really has an alcohol problem, doesn’t he, that boy.”

Keeping up appearances

Flair columnist Hester Zitvast thinks it is time for Tino to take responsibility. “Complaining about the miserable performance was not allowed on Tino’s social media; there was probably a complete team of moderators there, deleting the negativity like crazy. Above all, keep up appearances!”, she sneers in her column.

According to her, Tino should be punished. “In almost no other job can you show up to work feeling depressed. Then your employer shows you the door and if you do it as a self-employed person, your customers will judge you harshly for it.”

Ticket sales

Ultimately, she believes, Tino will also suffer from it. “Tino’s fans seem to be cautiously writing him off, given the disappointing ticket sales.”

Tino is now at the level of a drunk karaoke singer, she concludes. “At the very least, give your visitors an honest explanation and a refund very quickly.”
