Tino Martin asked live on TV about umpteenth ‘drunk’ performance

Tino Martin was confronted live on the talk show HLF8 yesterday with his umpteenth performance in which he seems completely drunk. “We all have a bad day once in a while, right?”

The number of lousy performances by Tino Martin is spiraling out of control. This time he has again been singing out of tune at the Total Loss Festival (see below). Critics state that the singer is always tired during those performances. He was asked about it last night by presenter Hélène Hendriks in the talk show HLF8.

crackling

Hélène makes no bones about it. To Tino: “Speaking of top sport: a top athlete is not always good at his competition. Just look at the football players: sometimes it’s nothing at all. You have. 95 percent of the time it is flawless, but 5 percent it is also crackling.”

Tino startled: “Oh, is that so?”

Hélène: “Well, we have the images, but we don’t show them. But how do you deal with that? There will be a lot of criticism. What does that do to you?”

lesser day

Tino acts like nothing is wrong. “Um, well, you know: I do almost 250 shows a year and we all have a bad day once in a while, right? Nowadays there is always a video of it and then you are the l*l for one or two days. Then you get a whole cart of shit all over you.”

He continues: “You really have those professional complainants on social media who, I think, are collectively ready to kick anyone who stumbles. That’s crazy, but every channel then takes over. And then you think: the whole world is collapsing. After two days the sun will shine again and then you pick up the thread again.”

Achilles’ heel

Fellow dinner guest Jack van Gelder then seems to hint at the abuse of alcohol. “Do you have enough discipline for yourself and people who point out to you: not for a while?”

Tino: “Of course, of course.”

Jack: “That seems like your Achilles heel.”

Tino: “It’s always a fight, of course, isn’t it? It is also tough, but of course we do so much in a year.”

A fight? What does he mean? Private boss Evert Sankrediets later in the evening in Shownieuws: “We called his manager and he says: ‘Yes, the dangers he talked about is just that he works very hard and the stress.’ If you have four performances in one evening, then you have a problem with the fourth and then those films would be made.”

amateur work

Evert thinks that Tino should do something about this. “Occasionally you see videos on the internet in which it is clear that he doesn’t – yes, how do you say that nicely – does not sing too cleanly, so to speak. Then it is suggested that it would have to do with alcohol. I think Tino is now and then in danger in the world with all the temptations that there are.”

And his Private colleague Jan Uriot in the section What does Jan think?: “We have seen these kinds of videos from Tino before. Then he keeps saying he’s not drunk. Make sure this doesn’t happen again. If you have the status of Tino Martin, this shouldn’t happen again. This is amateur work.”
