Tini vs. Lali: separated by politics

Tini Stoessel and Lali Espósito are two of the most popular and famous artists in Argentina. And although they lead that group of self-sufficient, young, beautiful, talented and successful women that also make up María Becerra, Nicki Nicole, Emilia and La Joaqui, their parallel careers seem to be enhanced by competition.

The success of one comes with the record of the other, and so on until it becomes the River-Boca of local teenage music. Their fans also confront each other on social networks but, far from silencing the voices, from time to time they double down with subliminal darts that feed the morbidity.

Pop militancy. This new round between the pop divas occurred in the turbulent context of the presidential elections. And although Lali already had several statements in favor of Kirchnerism and against all of Javier Milei’s projects, Tini Stoessel’s opinion was missing.who until now had not acknowledged receipt, although it was suspected that she was the opposite of the “Disciplina” interpreter. And the moment arrived, just when Patricia Bullrich and Luis Petri announced the support that Juntos por el Cambio gave to La Libertad Avanza with a view to the November 19 ballot. Moment in which the leader of LLA, Javier Milei took the opportunity to post on his Instagram account the photo of a lion hugging a duck -by Bullrich-, which was approved with a “like” by Tini herself. Such a gesture in the jargon of social networks means being in favor of that political union, whose sole objective is to prevent Unión por la Patria, with Sergio Massa as candidate for president, from continuing in power.

As a consequence of such a challenging like, a barrage of followers and haters took a screenshot and began to spread that the former “Violetta”, due to its transitive nature, empathized with the libertarian’s measures, such as the removal of subsidies from public services, the free carrying of weapons, the legal sale of organs, public education through vouchers and dollarization; all measures that his colleague Lali Espósito had reviled in several of his statements. Immediately afterwards, Tini removed the “like” but her reactionlogical in a celebrity who is followed by more than 21 million people on Instagram and almost 4 million on X (ex Twitter), it had already gone viral.

When it comes to politics and social issues, Lali Espósito has no mysteries. She is more committed, organic and unwavering in her position. He takes sides and defends his arguments, always with a touch of humor, so as not to lose focus. It is worth remembering that on August 13, after learning of Javier Milei’s victory in the PASO, he immediately tweeted the phrase: “How dangerous. How sad”. And although many of her followers attacked her, she remained firm in her conviction. “I could not say anything, obviously. It’s the most ‘comfortable’ thing, but I’m not like that. So yes! For me it is really sad to vote for an anti-rights person. That’s what I think. Just don’t worry, I’m an anguished citizen, not a candidate or anything. Relax! A respectful kiss for everyone,” she concluded.

Crossfire. Lali Espósito’s followers always remember that the attacks started from Tini’s entourage, whenever they can. when the singer took a sabbatical to detach herself from the image of “Violetta” and her child audience, to resume the public image, renewed, sensual and adult, and thus capture part of the audience that Lali already had from “Casi Ángeles”, youth strip from which the pop band Teen Angels emerged, which he was a member of along with Peter Lanzani, Nicolás Riera, Rocío Igarzabal, Eugenia “la China” Suarez and Gastón Dalmau.

But from Tini’s fandom, as they say to the group of fans of an artist, they assure that the one who started the iconic division was Lali herself with subtle hints., implying that the former Disney was imitating the aesthetics, the ideology of her songs, her choreographies and even her sexual ambiguity. And that Stoessel also did not agree to perform a duet for suggesting that their careers were not at the same level, when in reality it was Lali who did not want to “because they could not match their agendas.”

During the last time, both singers were indifferent to the success of the other in order to calm the waters. But in the midst of electoral times, where ideologies rake the skin, leaving undisguisable scars, speaking out in favor of the candidate that the other attacked is like establishing a combat position again.

Maybe, in some distant future we will have them singing together, but for now Tini continues singing her former hit “Libre soy” and Lali sings “Who are they?” along with Moria Casán, Sergio Massa’s daughter-in-law. For now, we will have to see who tunes their song better on November 19 at night.
