It is not yet certain how the value for the money will be produced in the application.

The popular dating app Tinder is getting a makeover, and the user shouldn’t have a shortage of small change to use it. The upcoming subscription level called Tinder Vault should cost around 456 euros per month ($500).
Tinder is a location-based dating app that aims to connect users who are close to each other. In the application, users create a profile that other users can like and start chatting with each other.
Users of the application often perceive Tinder as a means of speed dating. Tinder also strives to renew its image as an enabler of long-term relationships.
About 70 percent of Tinder users are men.
Added value to the application?
Tinder Vault is meant to be the company’s equivalent for those who want to invest in dating and take it seriously. The $1,000 weekly price of the competing application The League tells the company that they also want to pay for a better experience.
The company’s product manager Mark Van Ryswyk says that Tinder Vault is still in the development stage, and the company is still figuring out how a subscription that costs $6,000 a year would bring the desired added value to the user.
– We are still looking for an overall picture of how Tinder could bring added value to all its users, Van Ryswyk says.
Tinder also offers its users a free subscription. Free users are the application’s largest user group. According to the company, the introduction of a new subscription level should not impair other users’ experience with the application.
In addition to the free subscription, Tinder also offers less expensive payment methods to its users. Currently, users can pay for additional in-app visibility, unlimited app usage, and featured likes.
