Tina Nijkamp admits job application, severely dissed by NPO: ‘Shame’

Tina Nijkamp has actually applied for the position of television boss at the NPO. She hoped to become Frans Klein’s successor, but is being turned down.

Due to his involvement in the DWDD scandal, Frans Klein was forced to temporarily step down as television boss of the NPO at the end of last year. He has now left for Talpa and that is why the NPO had to look for a permanent successor. That became Remco van Leen, with Jojanneke Doorn for the organizational details.

Tina applied

Tina Nijkamp is not surprised, she responds in the talk show Van Roosmalen & Groenteman. “It is an expected choice, because it was actually known a few months ago. It was already stated in the Algemeen Dagblad that it would be him. So I didn’t really expect anything different.”

She continues: “I also did not expect that there would be an external vacancy. It did happen, suddenly last month. Well, okay, then I thought: I’m going to respond after all.”

‘Very nice’

Tina previously indicated that she wanted to take on the position of TV boss, but only in a few years, when her children are older. She came back from that. “Yes, because I thought: even if it has already been completed, I still want to know how it will go. I thought that position would be really fun.”

She continues: “Preferably in a few years, but I thought: that position doesn’t come up that often, I’m going to do it anyway, because things can of course be much better there.”

Big mess

What had she put in her application letter? “Well, I think I’m very suitable for that. Haha yes.”

She concludes: “The programming is now one big jumble, for example: Maarten van Rossem and his brother face De Slimste Mens, which he is also in, the series Dertigers starts at a different time every day. I would like to weed out those kinds of mistakes, but it didn’t work out, because it was already known. Well, fine. Very nice.”
