Timo Baumgartl with emotional words to Sébastien Haller

Sébastien Haller was diagnosed with a testicular tumor. He got a lot of encouragement. Also from Unions Timo Baumgartl, who received the same diagnosis in May.

Borussia Dortmund announced on Monday that a tumor had been discovered in the testicles of newcomer Sébastien Haller. The center forward has already left the training camp in Bad Ragaz and will be examined further in a specialized medical center in the coming days, according to a BVB announcement (read more about this here).

Immediately after the diagnosis, Dortmund’s sports director Sebastian Kehl said: “This news was a shock for Sébastien Haller and for all of us. The entire BVB family wishes Sébastien that he gets completely healthy as soon as possible. We will do everything in our power to ensure that he receives the best possible treatment.” Read more about the treatment of testicular tumors here.

BVB Managing Director Hans-Joachim Watzke also told SID: “Of course we are all in shock. Our thoughts are with Sébastien and his family. The most important thing now is that he gets well again.” In addition to those responsible in Dortmund, Haller also received other messages.

Baumgartl with a personal message

Timo Baumgartl wrote about a screenshot of the Haller message in his story on Instagram: “You are not alone, Sébastien.” Baumgartl knows what he is talking about. He was diagnosed with testicular cancer in May. He recently told the “Bild”: “I’ve had all the chemotherapy that should be done, I’m fine, even if my hair has fallen out.” Baumgartl is open about it on social networks, shows himself with a cap and wrote about a picture with his teammates from Union Berlin: “Miss the boys”.
