With a goal and an assist, national ice hockey player Tim Stützle helped the Ottawa Senators to an impressive comeback victory in the NHL.
The ex-Mannheimer scored 2-3 himself in the Canadians’ 4-3 win against the Nashville Predators after a 3-0 deficit after the first third (30′). Then he prepared Claude Giroux’s winning goal in extra time (64′).
Stützle made club history: For the 57th time, the striker recorded more than one scorer point in a game; no player under the age of 23 has ever achieved this with the Senators.
However, in his fourth NHL season, the 22-year-old’s eleven goals and 36 assists are well behind his best record last season, when he recorded 90 points in 78 games. Despite a slight upward trend, Ottawa remains last in the Atlantic Division.
