Tim Hofman responds to Youp van ‘t Hek’s fierce sneer. The comedian cites the presenter as an example of ‘woke drivel’. What does he think of that? “I just think it’s bullshit again.”
Youp van ‘t Hek is starting to get a little tired of Tim Hofman. As a concrete example, the cabaret artist mentions the collision that Tim had with the politically incorrect Theo Maassen. “We no longer say ‘I’m pregnant’, but ‘we are pregnant’. Fuck off man!” he shouted. “You don’t say ‘We’re on our period, do you?’”
Angry Tim
Well, that was against Tim’s sore leg. He thinks all that inclusive language is wonderful. He angrily tweeted: “Once a brave comedian, now a man who indulges his fear of the whims of a warlike autocrat on the minimal desire of a trans person. how an undefensible man understands his own nagging as the nagging of another.”
And: “Completely pissed off when people say ‘we are pregnant’, but are terrified themselves shout from under the table that the other person has too much of a taste for rubber tiles.”
Annoyed Youp
Youp was very annoyed about that. “I had to laugh a lot at Theo Maassen. Tim Hofman immediately went wild again, while I think that’s just a good joke. You also need to laugh a little.”
And: “That awful woke that you have to answer for every glass of milk you take… Every kilometer you cycle, drive, does, I don’t know… Yes, take it easy. All day long you’re like: you can’t say that anymore, you can’t say that anymore.”
‘What a load of shit!’
Tim responds to that now. “The funny thing about all this is of course that Youp complains about not being allowed to say anything anymore because I say something, which is about Theo Maassen who thought you were no longer allowed to say something (namely: ‘we are pregnant’)”, he tweets .
When someone remarks that Theo and Youp speak ‘true words’, Tim says: “I think it’s bullshit again. Cancel me pls.”
“Just funny!”
In hindsight, doesn’t Tim think his reaction to Theo is a bit too much? No. “Was just funny?”
Dan: “I think it’s really nice that he’s going to do Zomergasten (Theo, ed.). I look forward to it.”
