Presenter and journalist Tim Hofman is number 1 this year.
Tim Hoffman at the top
A big increase for Tim, because last year he was still at number 8. Of course we can all guess where Tim earned the prize. Earlier this year, he came up with an episode of his online series BOOS about the abuses The Voicewhich turned the whole of the Netherlands upside down.
Arjen Lubach from the throne
With this he has knocked Arjen Lubach off his throne, who was number 1 last year. Now Lubach is in third place, behind media mogul John de Mol, who is at number 2. The presenter of The Evening Show with Arjen Lubach responded, completely in character and to great hilarity, on Tim’s Instagram post with the reaction: ‘What the fok ?.’
Linda de Mol dropped
The most influential woman in the media? That is Eva Jinek, she is at number 4. Linda de Mol is a striking faller. Last year she was still in 5th place, but now she has fallen to 11th place.
Women vs Men
The number of women in relation to the number of men in this list is always taken into account. Unfortunately, that number is lower than last year. This year it is 27 women, last year it was 34 women. In addition to Eva Jinek, YouTube star Nikkie de Jager is the only other woman in the top 10, she is in tenth place.
How did this list come about?
Every year the media agency MediaTest conducts an investigation. They make a list of 300 nominees and then ask as many as 40,000 professionals to make a top ten. They then select a top 100 from this.
