Tim Hofman has escaped from a gun-toting madman, has made a whole BOOS special about it and is now being attacked by the men of Today Inside. “Inflated ego!”
There are a lot of crazy people in this world and in combination with a firearm that can of course be deadly. Tim Hofman was in the BNNVARA building when such a person came downstairs to the reception to meet him. He was eventually caught by the police, but what if Tim had happened to walk in or out at that moment?
Wallowing in ego
Tim has now made an entire thirty-minute special of BOOS about this incident. Not only to talk about himself and the impact the incident has on him and his editors, but also to explain that a social media bubble can be potentially life-threatening. According to him, that is the case here.
It bothers the men of Today Inside immensely that Tim Hofman has made an entire Tim Hofman special. “That Tim Hofman, he wallows in his ego,” says Johan Derksen program on SBS 6.
‘Really ridiculous’
Wilfred Genee gauges the mood in the studio. “You wouldn’t have made your own broadcast?”
No, Johan answers. “Well, I think it’s ridiculous, because it’s about Tim Hofman again, right? Tim Hofman makes a broadcast about Tim Hofman.”
René van der Gijp sneers: “Tim Hofman is extremely happy with himself.”
Wokefamily
The man who wanted to kill Tim hates woke. Just like Johan: “The woke family has a good chance that he will be rewarded with a prize again, just like that program about The Voice. Everyone was so excited about that, but more than 90 percent of them were anonymous accusations from people who were not properly portrayed.”
Wilfred: “It has had a lot of impact.”
Johan stays there. “That boy is only concerned with himself. It’s one big inflated ego. Maybe it appeals to youth, but I think it’s a bit immature.”
Self-righteous jellyfish
René thinks that Tim is too much in a kind of ego show. “Sitting around talking about yourself like that is not my thing either.”
Johan: “When I see that boy I only come to one conclusion: a self-righteous jellyfish.”
Tim often provokes resistance from people. Evert Santegoeds also slammed him this week in his podcast Strikt Privé: “That’s just a difficult boy. And always attract attention.”
