Tim Hofman achieves the greatest success with his programs on YouTube, but is a huge flop on television. He has been part of the Sunday NPO 3 fiasco for weeks. “Tons are wasted.”
The Sunday evening of NPO 3 has been an extremely large viewing figure disaster for weeks now. Yesterday it was again crying with the cap on: the Sihame series attracted 74 thousand viewers (1.4 percent market share), the Soundos El Ahmadi show Ik Ga Stuk attracted 79 thousand viewers (1.3 percent) and Tim Hofmans Pak De Macht closed the evening with 77 thousand viewers (1.6 percent).
‘This costs tons’
Viewing figures expert Tina Nijkamp, the former channel boss of SBS 6, has been involved in the media world for quite a few years, but she has never seen this. “For NPO 3, Sunday is a drama in capital letters. Everything, but also everything under 100 thousand viewers. Historically bad, I’ve never seen this before,” she says.
Tina is completely of her own. “Even Tim Hofman 77 thousand viewers. Tragic. This is also the most expensive evening of the week for NPO 3. At least four tons are played away between 8.15 pm and 10.30 pm. These programs are also poorly viewed. DRAMA evening for NPO 3.”
Orange at the top
The viewing figures of NPO 3 Sunday are structurally bad, so not just against football yesterday. The Netherlands – Belgium was by far the most watched TV broadcast of the evening with a score of 2.6 million viewers (48 percent) on NPO 1. They saw how the Orange team won 1-0 from our southern neighbors.
SBS 6 offered the most watched alternative with Miljoenenjacht (1.1 million and 20 percent), followed by RTL 4’s Weet Ik Veel with 804 thousand viewers (14 percent). Furthermore, Undercover was most popular in the Netherlands with 671 thousand viewers (13 percent).
Alberto takes revenge
Alberto can breathe a sigh of relief, because the Undercover season started historically badly. “Undercover in the Netherlands closes the season with very good figures. In the target group, it is the most watched program of the day for SBS 6. Higher than Miljoenenjacht”, says Tina.
She continues: “And to think the season started with a paltry 200,000 viewers. Prove how important promotion AND intake is.”
