Tim den Besten has posted a photo with King Willem-Alexander on his social media. The VPRO star claims to have interviewed him, but is that really the case? Or is this just a photoshop?
It is a big surprise for the followers of VPRO person Tim den Besten: he has just posted a photo on Instagram in which he shakes hands with the king of the Netherlands. But is this photo with Willem-Alexander real? “This is not photoshop,” the presenter said.
Timmyland
The VPRO confirms that an interview has taken place between Tim and the king, namely for his new children’s program Timmyland. In it he investigates how to become the boss of your own country.
A spokeswoman for the broadcaster: “In fictional scenes you see ‘the country of your dreams’ increasingly taking shape and in the meantime Tim discovers the values of a democracy and a dictatorship. (…) Tim is going to investigate how to become the boss and even visits King Willem-Alexander for that.”
no photoshop
Tim emphasizes to his followers that this is no joke. “I showed the photo to a friend and she said, ‘Wow this is photoshopped really well.’ Me: “But it’s real!” She: ‘Haha Tim, nobody believes that.’”
But it really is, he emphasizes. “On August 26, as the future head of state of Timmyland, I was allowed to visit the head of state of the Netherlands at Huis ten Bosch Palace.”
