The US outdoor brand Eddie Bauer has a new boss. On Monday, parent company Sparc Group LLC announced the appointment of Tim Bantle as the label’s CEO. Bantle will now “lead the next leg of Eddie Bauer’s growth trajectory” and will report directly to Sparc Group CEO Marc Miller, the company said. The core tasks of the new brand boss are to reach a broader clientele, to achieve sustainability goals and to pursue business priorities in the “digital and traditional channels”.
Bantle came from the US clothing group VF Group, where he was General Manager for the Canadian business. According to his new employer, he has “more than twenty years of experience in managerial positions at leading outdoor companies”. Prior to VF, Bantle had held key roles at Black Diamond Equipment and Patagonia.
The new CEO of Eddie Bauer brings “a unique understanding of the outdoor clientele” and has “a deep technical knowledge that translates into business success,” said Sparc CEO Miller in a statement. “I look forward to Eddie Bauer’s future and am confident that the brand will thrive under Tim’s leadership.”
