Till Lindemann’s “casting director” reports back to Instagram after the investigation has ended

On Tuesday (August 29), the Berlin public prosecutor’s office dropped the case against Rammstein singer Till Lindemann due to insufficient evidence. The 60-year-old has been accused of sexual abuse since late May. It was also claimed that there was a system surrounding the Rammstein concerts in which young women were said to have been recruited for sex with Lindemann.

At the center of this system is said to have been the Russian Alena Makeeva, who describes herself as Rammstein’s “casting director”. She is said to have written to women via Instagram and invited them to exclusive Rammstein after parties.

Makeeva suddenly disappeared from public view on June 11 — her Instagram profile was made private, and according to Rammstein, the Russian was fired from her job. Meanwhile, the Berlin public prosecutor’s office reported that they are also listed as suspects in the investigation.

However, shortly after prosecutors made the announcement, Makeeva reappeared on Instagram — her profile became public again, and on her Story she posted a clip from a four-year-old YouTube video titled “When people lie about rape” (zu English: “When people lie about rape”) In it, YouTuber Anthony D. Griffin (“Longbeach Griffy”) puts himself in the role of a man who, after serving four years in prison, is informed that the woman lied about her allegations.

The video itself has been heavily criticized in the past for its satirical handling of the subject of sexual abuse, but Makeeva has also been criticized for her post. On X (formerly Twitter), a:e user:in wrote: “It’s disgusting. Hope she goes to jail.”

Since then, Makeeva has been active again on Instagram. She also produced a post on Tuesday after news broke that the investigation had been halted. In the caption: “Finally! Good news #happyday #truthalwayswins,” paired with a picture of the Welt article reporting the news.
