Till Lindemann: Proceedings in Vilnius stopped

After it was reported on Wednesday (June 21) that the Vilnius public prosecutor’s office now wanted to deal with the Causa Till Lindemann, the authority published a press release on Friday (June 23) that the proceedings against the Rammstein singer were finally terminated made. According to information from “Bild”, the examination and evaluation of the data showed that no preliminary investigation was necessary. According to the press release, no crime was committed.

The background: The Lithuanian police decided against criminal prosecution after recording a five-hour statement by Shelby Lynn. Lynn then lodged a complaint: “I submitted a written objection yesterday. I also asked for access to the files. I am completely irritated by the actions of the Lithuanian police,” she wrote on Instagram on June 14. Her complaint led to an examination of the facts by the public prosecutor’s office. Apparently this is over now. Result: No proceedings against Till Lindemann in Vilnius.

The Berlin public prosecutor’s office is in the middle of their investigations against the 60-year-old Berliner. The reason for this is two reports, one of which was received by the Berlin police and the other directly by the public prosecutor’s office. On Thursday, the authorities admitted that they had been investigating Lindemann for longer than stated. It was not possible to comment earlier on the procedure for allegations of sexual offenses and the sale of narcotics due to the high level of media interest.
