The Chinese application has disappeared from Apple’s and Google’s application stores, reports news agency Reuters.
Editor of Iltalehti Aleksi Nissilä is currently on vacation in the United States. He posted a picture of the notification he received on his Tiktok app.
– Sorry, Tiktok is not available right now, the message says.
– The law banning Tiktok has entered into force in the United States. Unfortunately, that means you can’t use Tiktok right now.
– We are lucky that the president [Donald] Trump has expressed that he will work with us to reactivate Tiktok when he takes office. Stay tuned!
Trump previously said he would likely give Tiktok a 90-day reprieve on the ban.
