Tijl Beckand has received many concerned reactions from viewers after his recent appearance in Eva Jinek’s talk show. “I’ll go to the doctor if I have time,” he says.
It was quite a shock for Tijl Beckand: after his recent performance at Eva Jinek, he has received countless reactions from viewers, the presenter says in his podcast Ruben Tijl Ruben. They advise him to visit the doctor to have a lump in his neck examined.
Bulge in neck
According to Tijl it is just a rather present vein. “If I ever make an effort or speak louder, you can see that I get veins here. I was recently with Eva Jinek. Then I apparently did too. But I’ve had tons of people message me. They have said: ‘You have a bulge in your neck.’”
The viewers fear it could be something else. “A lot of people are concerned. They have notified me. They said, “I don’t know if you realize, but there’s something wrong with your neck.” Well, and then I thought: for the same money it has become bigger than it was before.”

Colleague Ruben Nicolai also finds it a bit worrying. “Yes, you’re going to check anyway.”
Tijl: “Sure, sure. If you’ve been on TV and several people say, ‘Are you okay?’… I’ll still go see a doctor if I have time. And then I tell that story too. That a lot of people have seen me on TV and think there is something in my neck.”
Fat lump
Colleague Ruben van der Meer has also had something similar. “I had a fat lump on my arm. And that was just a bump. And when I sat with the De Lama’s with short sleeves and the light fell on it, you saw a bump on my arm, and I sometimes heard something about that. Then I had him removed.”
Paulien Cornelisse previously had half her thyroid removed after a tip from a Jinek viewer. Another well-known presenter who has scared viewers with a bulge is Maarten Steendam. The Hart van Nederland star had it in his pants.
