Tiger Woods is working hard to make a tour comeback

After the serious car accident almost exactly a year ago, US superstar Tiger Woods continues to work hard on his comeback on the US tour.

“You’ll see me on the PGA Tour, I just don’t know when. And believe me, I’d like to tell you that I’ll be playing next week,” said the 15-time major winner on the sidelines of his golf tournament California Pacific Palisades. “I can hit balls. The hardest thing is actually walking and that will take some time.”

Woods sustained multiple fractures in his right leg in the accident in February last year.

Host Woods presented the winner’s trophy to Joaquin Niemann at the Riviera Country Club near Los Angeles. The 23-year-old Chilean prevailed in the tournament with a total of 265 shots ahead of the two Americans Collin Morikawa and Cameron Young (both 267 shots).

Niemann received $2.16 million in prize money for winning the $12 million Genesis Invitational.
