Tiffany celebrates the reopening of its New York flagship store

The US luxury jeweler Tiffany & Co. has reopened its opulent flagship store in the center of New York after extensive renovation work. The newly renovated store at the corner of 57th Street and Fifth Avenue, which the company says is one of the largest stores in Manhattan, now bears the name “The Landmark” (“The Landmark”) and sets “new standards for Tiffany & Co. with custom-made artworks, never-before-seen jewelry and imposing displays,” read a statement released on Friday.

The New York branch of the renowned architectural firm OMA was responsible for the conversion. The interior was designed by Peter Marino. In the ten-storey building, the jeweller, which has belonged to the French luxury goods group LVMH since the beginning of 2021, is now also presenting “almost 40 works of art, including never-before-seen commissioned works by Tiffany and works by renowned artists such as Damien Hirst, Julian Schnabel, Rashid Johnson, Anna Weyant and Daniel Arsham”.

With its ambitious concept, the store “sets new standards for luxury retail on a global level,” emphasized Anthony Ledru, President and CEO of Tiffany & Co., according to a statement. “The reopening of the iconic landmark on Fifth Avenue is an important milestone for our house. A symbol of a new era for Tiffany & Co., ‘The Landmark’ is much more than a jewelry store – it is a cultural hub that exquisitely showcases architecture and hospitality excellence, as well as pioneering art and design,” explained Ledru.
