Tielt’s company launches virus-killing wallpaper

To meet the demands of tomorrow in a rapidly changing world, Grandeco Wallfashion Group developed a wallpaper coating that eliminates viruses, bacteria and fungi.

Opposites attract

How it works exactly is due to an extra water-based coating. Thanks to electrostatic force, viruses, bacteria and fungi that move through the air come into contact with the wallpaper.

And because those harmful air particles are negatively charged and the wallpaper is positive, the coating eliminates the culprits by piercing the cell wall. It is a chemical process that is not harmful to humans.

Health care sector

The coating even ensures that the wallpaper is washable. “Ideal for areas that are used intensively, such as the hall or the playroom. The wallpaper also reduces the risk of spreading diseases through the air in the office or in the healthcare sector,” it sounds.

‘Atmosphere’ is the first collection to roll off the production line with an extra virus- and bactericidal layer. The wallpaper has already been recorded at a general practice in Tielt and in a school in Aalst.
