Rock Werchter also apparently does not escape inflation. 292 euros, that’s how much you pay for a four-day combi ticket. That is an increase of 10 percent compared to last year, when the tickets still cost 266 euros. Camping is also more expensive. Last year you paid 30 euros, but this year it is 37 euros. The day tickets increase rather limited, they go from 125 to 127 euros.
Last year organizer Herman Schueremans pointed out that everything is becoming more expensive. “Life is becoming more expensive and that is no different in the festival world. The costs for crew, infrastructure, energy and safety are rising rapidly.”
Just for comparison: for the price of one combi ticket you can fly back and forth to Barcelona with three people in the same period. Still, it won’t stop many music lovers from seeing their favorite bands. Werchter starts on Thursday 29 June and ends Sunday 2 July. Ticket sales start on October 29.
