Ticket for play-offs narrowly passes NAC

NAC just failed to win a ticket for the play-offs on Monday. Things went wrong for the team from Breda in the 87th minute of the match between Almere City and Jong FC Utrecht. A make-up game in the Kitchen Champion Division that ultimately had to make the decision in the third period.

If Almere City had not won against Jong FC Utrecht, the play-off ticket would have gone to Breda.

For a long time it seemed to go in that direction, but in the 88th minute Damian van Bruggen scored the redeeming goal for the club from Almere. As a result, the coveted play-off ticket passed NAC’s nose.

The match between Almere City and Jong FC Utrecht was initially scheduled to be played on March 10, but was canceled because the field in Almere had become unplayable due to the snow.
