With Julian Köster and Marko Grgic, two handball national players change to a top club in the HBL for the 2026/2027 season. Köster joins the THW Kiel, grgic is drawn to the SG Flensburg-Handewitt. Now the new salaries of the DHB stars have been unveiled.

As the “Sport Bild” reports, Julian Köster at the THW Kiel strokes around 30,000 euros net a month.

Marko Grgic starts at SG Flensburg-Handewitt with a net content of 25,000 euros.

The top earner of the handball Bundesliga is said to be Daini’s Kristopans from MT Melsungen. The Lette allegedly collects 60,000 euros gross per month.

At the THW Kiel, Andreas Wolff is to lead the salary ranking with a gross 50,000 euros. In Flensburg, Johannes Golla is probably one of the top earners with 48,000 euros gross.

At the beginning of last week, the THW Kiel announced that Julian Köster moved to the zebras for the 2026/2027 season. The DHB star signed a four-year contract with the record champions by 2030.

“It was not an easy decision. I thoroughly considered it. In the end, a few reasons spoke for Kiel,” said the back room player recently at “Dyn”.

Köster added: “Of course it is a change at first. I will leave my home, come to a new club, a new team, with a new coach, a new game idea. I have to integrate myself first. But that’s a new challenge that I look forward to.”

Grgic wants to attack with Flensburg above

At the end of April, the SG Flensburg-Handewitt surprisingly announced that Marko Grgic will strengthen the North Germans from 2026/2027. The back room player signed until 2029.

“I am very happy to become part of the SG Flensburg -Handewitt. The club is one of the largest in the world and I want to help it come back to where it belongs – namely to the top,” emphasized Grgic.
