Record champions THW Kiel and north rivals SG Flensburg-Handewitt have found their way back on the road to success in the handball Bundesliga and temporarily shortened the gap to the flawless championship leaders SC Magdeburg.
The Kiel won on Wednesday evening against the TVB Stuttgart with 35:31 (17:19), Flensburg beat the MT Melsungen 27:24 (13:11).
With 26: 8 points, Kiel moved closer to Magdeburg (30: 0) as the new runner-up. Flensburg is third with 25: 7 points, the Füchse Berlin (24: 6) can overtake both north clubs on Thursday against HBW Balingen-Weilstetten (19:05 / Sky). At the same time, the SCM meets the newcomers HSV Hamburg.
Three days after the bankruptcy at HSG Wetzlar (27:29), Sander Sagosen was the best scorer in the team of THW coach Filip Jicha with seven goals, while Viggo Kristjansson (8 goals) scored the most for the Stuttgart team.
