Throwing attack at a concert: Drake threw a mobile phone on the stage

However, the Canadian rapper didn’t give a damn and continued the gig without interruption.

There was another throwing attack at a concert. This time it got the Canadian rap star Drake. An unidentified person threw a cellphone on the stage. However, Drake was only lightly hit in the hand and was not disconcerted by the assault.

Drake not first victim of projectiles during live performance

The throwing attack on Drake happened on Wednesday, July 5, at the United Center in the US city of Chicago. The “Hotline Bling” rapper was performing a cover of Ginuwine’s “So Anxious” when a smartphone flew onto the stage. The device, which was used as a projectile, only hit Drake lightly in the arm, which is why the Canadian shrugged off the attack without showing anything. A video on Tiktok documented the incident. The concert was part of Drake’s It’s All a Blur tour of North America.

Recently, numerous other musicians were victims of physical attacks during a concert. During a gig by American artist Lil Nax X, a concert-goer felt encouraged to throw a sex toy at the rapper. It was also bizarre at a Pink concert when someone threw his/her mother’s ashes on the stage. It was far more serious for Bebe Rexha, who suffered a laceration in her eye after being thrown by a cell phone. At a live performance by British singer Adele in Las Vegas, the artist spoke out clearly about the recent incidents: “Don’t you dare throw anything at me or I’ll kill you!” she instructed her audience.
