Three men beat up a doorman and several café visitors in Asten on May 27. In the TV program Opsporing Verzocht, the police clearly depicted two of the three perpetrators on Tuesday evening. It can be seen that the trio acted like animals that night and knocked two victims unconscious.
The security guard of Café Toff in Asten was the first victim of the three fighters that night from Friday to Saturday. Around two o’clock in the morning, the three were taken out of the café by the doorman. Because that evening they had groped several women and thrown them with beer. And then things went wrong.
Through the ribbon
The images show how the doorman was then pulled out by his jacket. The three then hit and kicked him full force. The man became unconscious and the kicking continued. Café guests who tried to protect the doorman were also severely beaten. This shows how a woman was hit full in the face. The trio went completely crazy.
Another victim tried to protect his girlfriend and was hit in the back. He tells Opsporing Verzocht that he works with problem young people and tries to avoid conflicts. “But after that kick it’s really a blur for me,” says the 31-year-old man. “I felt a lot of injustice and anger.” He doesn’t understand how something like this could happen in a café in Asten where everyone knows each other.
Headscratchers
The massive brawl continued outside. It shows how one of the fighters held down a victim so that the other suspect could kick him in the stomach. The 31-year-old victim came to the rescue, but had to pay a heavy price. He fell to the ground after a hard punch and lost consciousness. As he lay on the ground, the three kicked him in the side and in the head.
“That’s what I resent most. That they kicked me in my most vulnerable place at my most vulnerable moment.” The man appears to have a large hole above his eyebrow, his nose had to be glued and he lost several teeth.
Battlefield
The fight also continued that night in the parking lot near the café. In total, the doorman and two café guests passed out. A number of other café guests suffered facial injuries.
The trio escaped that night in a black BMW. Striking detail according to the police: the license plate was taken off the car before they left. The trio would not come from Asten itself.
The car was later found at the Prinsenmeer campsite in Ommel. The police were able to identify the owner of the BMW and he has already been arrested. The search is still underway for the other two fighters.
