Three workers have suffered injuries, one of them seriously., after the elevator of a building located at the confluence of Aribau and Mallorca streets has suffered a breakdown whose magnitude has not yet been revealed. At street level, the residents of the adjacent buildings have stated that the elevator has collapsed, but sources from the Urban Police have clarified that at most the elevator has come down when it was going to start moving from the ground floor.
The affected property is under construction and, according to the same sources, the workers could have overloaded the elevator, an old model, with a wooden cabin. The restraint cables were visibly broken after the accident. The three workers have been taken to the hospital.
