After an exhibition with cartoons by Kamagurka, Galerij Negen Punt Negen in Roeselare is once again presenting West Flemish artists. Together with Christophe Denys and David Bruneel, Alexander Bossuyt pushes boundaries. In this way, a detail from a Renaissance work is given an erotic touch and the frames of a work of art become the work of art itself. One of the eye-catchers is an easel that Alexander Bossuyt converted.
“It is a combination of an easel and a guillotine. But also of my admiration for someone like Van Eyck and at the same time the frustration that accompanies it. The realization that I will never be as technically good as such a master,” Alexander explains. .
