Francesco Antonucci is playing for FC Volendam for the third time in three seasons. The attacking midfielder is again hired from Feyenoord and, just like last season, the goal is clear: “I came here to promote with this club.”

Antonucci did not play at Feyenoord in the first half of the season and so FC Volendam struck. The 22-year-old Belgian will continue to play football in the fishing village until the end of the season and in the event of a promotion, another season will be added.
“When I came here for the first time, I wanted to promote with FC Volendam. That didn’t work out, but I get another chance,” said Antonucci.
“I want to learn as much as possible here and play at Feyenoord again later”
Compared to last season, Antonucci is now on the field alongside the experienced Robert Mühren and Daryl van Mieghem. “Mühren was the top scorer last year, so of course I know him. Van Mieghem also did well at De Graafschap,” says Antonucci about his new teammates. “You can see right away that they have quality, so I’m very happy to play with them.
Fisherman’s Derby
Tomorrow FC Volendam will play the fishing derby against Telstar. Antonucci is fit and can compete against the provincial colleague from Velsen-Zuid. The match is Sunday afternoon can be heard live through this website. Kick-off in the fishing village is at 12:15 PM.
