Goalkeeper of Gambia

From the other soccer players it is not yet known whether they will also be on trial in Velsen-South next week. One of those players is goalkeeper Baboucarr Gaye. He participated today in the exhibition game against Stormvogels (3-2 win).

The Gambian goalkeeper would like to stay in Velsen-South himself. “I did everything I could this week and now we have to wait and see what the coach decides. If I get the chance I will take it,” Gaye commented after the game.

Trainer Mike Snoei says that he would like to see Akoy in action himself. “He is fine with the ball. He has had a serious injury. He did not play enough last year. Before I let a boy lose weight, I first want to see him,” says Snoei.

Next Tuesday is Telstar’s next exhibition game. Then play the White Lions at home against FC Lisse.
