On Saturday afternoon, the Coast Guard received a message about a sinking motorboat on the IJsselmeer near Andijk around 3 p.m. The people on board were en route from Andijk to the Frisian coast, and after they had sailed a few miles, the vessel quickly made water.
Three people on board were rescued, but the two dogs that were on board have not been found, the Coast Guard informed NH Nieuws this morning. When the people on board were taken out of the water, they had mild hypothermia symptoms. They were taken to dry land by the KNRM where an ambulance was waiting.
